OWNER & FOUNDER
As long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for creating a beautiful atmosphere in which people would enjoy each other’s company & celebrate together. Although Wedding planning isn’t always as fabulous as JLo has portrayed it in the movie “The Wedding Planner”, I absolutely love EVERYTHING about it! My event planning experience began when I started working for a full service premier caterer in 2009. After coordinating & planning hundreds of weddings as the Lead Event Director, I have acquired important knowledge in the industry. This unique combination of skillsets allows me to produce not only beautiful events, but also expertly organized events that create an amazing experience for both you & your guests. Pairing my passion for event planning, experience in weddings, creativity in design & plain hard work, I started Lavish Weddings. The best part of my job is witnessing our lovely Lavish couples say “I Do” & seeing them truly enjoy their special day. That will never get old for me & that’s what drives me to continue.
GABRIELA BARGE
She's very cool, super fashionable and she's our Director of Events & Design! (Can you tell who wrote this?)
A performer most of her life - she’s never shied from a spotlight, but Gabriela has been behind the scenes planning luxury events for the majority of the last decade. From managing Scottsdale’s most popular nightclubs to coordinating 200 events/year at a venue to working in interior design, she’s our jack of all trades. She even has her officiant license!
When she’s not planning with us at Lavish, she’s trying new coffee and brunch spots around Los Angeles, making TikToks, traveling the globe or debating whether or not to finally adopt a puppy (if someone just handed her one, she wouldn’t say no).
This all being said, planning weddings is her dream and she’s living it.
From the moment you start planning to the day-of, Gabriela will be your cool, calm, collected best friend. Being there for you and your loved ones as you tie the knot is an honor and she can’t wait to celebrate with you!
KATE ELLISON
If laughter is the best medicine, she's our in-house doctor! Meet our Senior Lead Coordinator, Kate!
In 2005, Kate started as an Entertainment Assistant for Pacific Event Productions and never looked back. Since then she's worked for a nonprofit museum, coordinated venue and catering sales, and, luckily for us, joined the Lavish squad in 2016. From social to corporate events, she's seen it all.
Outside of Lavish, you'll find her always on the go; working out, hiking, traveling, popping into new restaurants, and being a mother to two amazing daughters. Like many of us, she's also a bit of a music junkie, but particularly rap & hip-hop! Her go-to party trick is knowing every word to all your favorite early 2000s rap songs!
Kate's smile and energy are infectious. Intuitive, light-hearted, and dependable, you'll always be able to look to her for support (and a lot of laughs). She can't wait to help you plan a day to remember!
CATHLENE GAITAN
Lavish & Co.’s very own bubbly, warmhearted and all-witty Event Production Assistant - Cathlene!
One of our team members working behind the scenes, you're sure to hear from her during your planning process as she assists with booking your fabulous vendors and see her the day-of applying the finishing touches to every detail.
Like Christine, Cathlene actually started her career in the healthcare field and soon transitioned into the event industry to fulfill a growing passion.
She is a lover of all things beauty, travel, and reality T.V. Post-event season, you’ll catch her traveling to a new place (her goal is to visit every country,) binge-watching a new series, and drinking copious amounts of bubble tea while doing so. She is also a certified foodie and dog lover!
She absolutely loves working events and being a part of all our couples' special moments! She will be your go-to gal on your big day!
